my professional story

I was always good at Math and Physics and was always told growing up that I should be an Engineer like my dad.  So I did.  I graduated from UBC in Mechanical Engineering and started working at the Aluminum Smelter in Kitimat.    Working as an Engineer never quite suited me though.  My favourite part of the job was the relationships that I formed while working on projects.  

After many years working part time in consulting, work was slow and I did some introspection.  A Myers-Briggs test pinned me as a counsellor.  When I heard of Financial Counselling, I knew that would be a perfect fit as it would combine my love of numbers and knowing people deeply.

I became an Accredited Financial Counsellor and love every minute of this career.  The change that I see in my clients is motivating to keep helping more people!
